 Sud Est SE.210-10R c/n 235 TC-ARI 'Lale' of Istanbul Airlines in SAT c/s, at Dusseldorf, 03 May 1986 Built as D-ABAP against an LTU order in 1967, this 10R was sold to another German charter company, SAT Flug, in October 1979. In the early eighties, SAT introduced a striking green and yellow colour scheme, and it was this colour scheme that the next owner of the aircraft, Istanbul Airlines, initially used after they bought it as TC-ARI in March 1986. TC-ARI was seen two months later at Dusseldorf after completing a charter flight from Turkey. TC-ARI was last heard of as being in use as an instructional airframe in Turkey.Photo and text: Peter Frei |
