Caravelle vin (c/n 149) F-GBMJ Europe Aero Service. Seen on the ramp at Valence in Southern France after a torrential rain storm, EAS Caravelle F-GBMJ is being readied for another flight. This Caravelle was delivered in 1962 as LV-PVU, and later LV-HGZ, to Aérolineas Argentinas. In 1973 it was transferred to the Fuerza Aérea Argentina, and in 1975 was sold to the US as N46SB. In December 1978, EAS acquired the aircraft and named it 'Valentinois'. F-GBMJ ended its days in the scrapyard at EAS' base in Perpignan, where it was finally broken-up. (Photo and text by P. Frei)
