On 19th june 1980 a Lockheed Tristar wake vortex caused the
Caravelle to land heavily at the approach end of runway 26 at Atlanta
Hartsfield Airport.
The left main gear collapsed and the aircraft came to rest 4500ft past
the runway threshold and 250 ft off the centerline.
